Candlelighters Family Camp for children with cancer and their families

Friday, June 7 to  Sunday June 9, 2024.

Camp is held at Camp Lawton, 12900 E Organization Ridge Rd, Mt Lemmon, AZ 85619.

Camp Volunteer Training: Saturday, June 1 2024, 10:00 a.m.- Noon.

Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 710 S Kolb Rd. 85710. Room #10. (Call for alternate arrangements if you miss this date).
Groups coming to help with meal prep do not need to attend this training but must be pre-registered to volunteer.

Needs of the camp include:
Enthusiastic and empathetic persons seeking to help children and their parents have a fun camp
weekend.
 Craft, sporting and outdoor talents.
 Work well and safely with children and teens.
 Help children/teen age groups rotate through archery range, rock climbing wall, crafts, etc.
Activities are provided by certified Camp Lawton staff.
 Camp fire “sing a long” talents. (Guitar or knowledge of appropriate songs)
 Help with meal prep, serving and cleanup for one meal time(6 different times)
 Let me know your talents and skills, we can always incorporate new activities.
 Adirondack/cabin accommodation, 78000 feet elevation – check with your medical provider
 Gator drivers needed
