Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. To honor and remember local children and their families affected by childhood cancer, a candle lighting Ceremony is held in the meditation Garden at Diamond Children's, Tucson. Candlelighters CCFSA provides the candles and refreshments. This is a child friendly event. This year we will honor the 6th floor inpatient staff at Banner Diamond Children's. This overnight camp is available to families who have had a child/teen in treatment for cancer or other hematological diagnosis. Camp begins Friday at dinner time and ends Sunday after lunch. Camp includes meals and accommodation and is free to families. Activities at camp includes basketball, volleyball, children's playground, archery, BB guns, campfire circle and crafts. Candlelighters Annual Halloween Party is for families who have, or have had, a child/teen in treatment. Hosted at the Z Mansion this fun event includes a Mystery House, food, science experiments, pumpkins, jumping castle, crafts and games. Costumes encouraged, feel free to bring a side dish. Holiday Assistance Party
Candlelighters Holiday Assistance Program provides help to families during the Holidays in several different ways. You may register your child for a $25 gift wish (up to age 18 and in high school). Due to overwhelming numbers, preference is given to families who have had a child/teen in treatment within the last 5 years. Some family "adoptions" are referred by the social workers for added assistance.

Dream Night Prom for Teens
The 15th Annual Candlelighters Dream Night Prom is for teens with a life threatening illness and their teen siblings. One teen guest each. Dresses, hair, nails & tuxedos are provided with registration and Candlelighters confirmation. This is a fun, supervised event with no charge to attend. Campfire Cookout @ Double V Ranch
In collaboration with Camp Sunrise/Sidekicks and Candlelighters Family Camp we begin summer with a Campfire Cookout on Saturday June 12th from 5pm-8pm, 2021 at the Double V Ranch. - please contact Candlelighters for more information and to register for this event. Camp crafts, camp Sing-A-Long, hot dogs, vegeburgers, condiments and cold drinks provided. Swimming for the 1st 2 hours only.

Candlelighters Family Camp, 2022
Candlelighters Family Camp will be held on Mt Lemmon Friday June 3-Sunday June 5, 2022 at Camp Lawton. If your family would like to attend please contact Candlelighters for registration. Families will have their own cabin. Volunteers will have been vaccinated against Covid and chicken pox.
